Why Discipulus

Someone's first yes changes everything.

Discipulus is a Hawaii nonprofit that helps students discover meaningful careers through authentic human relationships — one professional saying yes to one student at a time.

Our mission

Not a job board. A bridge.

Too many talented students in Hawaiʻi never step inside the career they were meant for — not for lack of ability, but for lack of access. A single connection can change that.

Discipulus exists to help students discover opportunities in healthcare, technology, hospitality, and beyond — through mentorship, internships, and real professional relationships with people who were once exactly where they are.

How it works

From a first hello to a real path

Every Discipulus experience follows the same simple, human arc.

01

We listen

Students tell us what they're curious about — the careers they wonder about but have never seen up close.

02

We match

We connect each student one-to-one with a professional and a real-world experience in their field of interest.

03

We stay

Mentorship doesn't end after a day. We support students through the next step — and the one after that.

What we believe

Our values

🤝

Relationships first

Real mentorship beats any listing. We invest in people, not transactions.

🌺

Rooted in Hawaiʻi

Built by and for our island communities — Oʻahu, Maui, and Hawaiʻi Island.

Access for all

Opportunity shouldn't depend on who you know. We open the door for everyone.

Our people

A small team with a big network

Discipulus is powered by staff, volunteers, and a growing community of island professionals who mentor.
